- Make sure the cable going from the cash drawer into the receipt printer is securely inserted into both devices.
- Make sure the printer that the cash drawer is plugged into is powered on and functional.
- Make sure the employee using the cash drawer has “Use Drawer 1” checked under the “Security” tab under Employees – Modify Employees.
- If you usually assign cash drawers to employees, make sure that the employee is listed under Manager Menu – Assign Cash Drawer – Drawer #1 tab.
